Real
Estate Appraisal Resources in North Carolina
The information contained in and necessary for a comprehensive
appraisal report is derived from numerous sources. The two (2) primary
sources
of information are the local/regional Multiple Listing Service (MLS)
and the County tax records which include individual parcel/site and
improvement
data through Geospatial Information Services (GIS). The MLS system
is not accessible without membership but County records for real
estate are on the public record in North Carolina and available on
each Counties web site. The “official” web site for the
appraisal industry is The Appraisal Foundation which is authorized
by Congress as the source of appraisal standards (USPAP) and appraiser
qualifications.
Many of the web sites used by or for information about
real estate appraisers in North Carolina (including the County links
for the area
covered by RB Miller Appraisal Group) are linked on this page. It
is presented in the hope that some of this information will be of
benefit to our clients.
